Bayanat, a provider of geospatial technology solutions supported by artificial intelligence, and Emkan Real Estate in Abu Dhabi, announced yesterday the signing of a memorandum of understanding to implement a smart transportation infrastructure project on “Sha Al Emarat Island” in the Al Jurf area.
The project will include an integrated transportation ecosystem supported by artificial intelligence, allowing fully autonomous driving on the world’s first healthy lifestyle island.
The memorandum of understanding was signed by Abdullah Al Shamsi, Chief Operating Officer of Bayanat, and Suwaidan Al Dhaheri, CEO of Emkan Real Estate, at Bayanat’s headquarters. “Sha Emirates Island” is located in the Al Jurf area, approximately halfway between Abu Dhabi and Dubai. The island, which will also be home to the Sha Health Clinic, seeks to be largely autonomous with little reliance on manned vehicles.
While Emkan Properties will develop the actual infrastructure of the project, it will provide the essential digital infrastructure data to operate autonomous vehicles and unmanned systems, such as high-resolution maps and high-precision positioning, in addition to deploying intelligent transportation solutions in the form of dual digital solutions, making autonomous driving a reality. The island is possible.
The digital twin data technology will play a pivotal role in supporting Emkan Real Estate’s vision for Sha Al Emirates Island by providing an advanced virtual copy of the island’s complete infrastructure. This technology will allow real-time monitoring and management of autonomous transportation systems, ensuring smooth and highly efficient operations without human intervention.
“Sha Emirates Island” in Al Jurf was announced earlier this year, and it presents a new residential model for the region that focuses entirely on wellness.
