The real estate sector in Abu Dhabi has launched about 6,800 new housing units, in addition to offering about 12.8 million square meters of land for residential, commercial and service real estate investment, through 36 new real estate projects registered in the emirate during the first seven months of this year.
Data on the projects registered by developers showed that the past months of June and July in particular witnessed a clear momentum in the size of residential units, as 9 projects were registered with a share of about 4,500 new units.
According to the project types, the list included 12 projects for selling investment lands to establish various residential, commercial and service projects, including 10 projects in Al Ain city, providing approximately 11.3 million square meters of space allocated for residential and commercial construction, while Jubail Island in Abu Dhabi included two additional projects to provide a total of 1.5 million square meters.
The largest share of projects was for registered residential projects, with about 24 projects varying between residential towers, villas and townhouses, the largest and most recent of which was the “Belgelam” project developed in Abu Dhabi, which aims to provide 1,746 housing units. The largest projects also included the “Royal Park” project, which provides 844 units, in addition to the “Bloom Living Granada 1” project developed in “Zayed City” which provides 483 housing units and the “Seville” project to provide 407 units.
According to the geographical distribution of the new projects, Yas Island included 5 projects to establish 764 units, the most recent of which is the “Icon” project to provide 300 units, in addition to the “Sama Yas” project with 235 units, and the “The Bay Residence” project in the south of the island, which provides 139 new residential units of different sizes, in addition to the most recent project, the “Vista Del Mar” tower, which provides 90 residential units.
Saadiyat Island hosted 4 projects to develop 943 units, the largest of which was the “Nouran Living” project, which provides 372 residential units, the “Art House” project, which provides 281 units, then the “Manara Living 2” project, which provides 232 units, in addition to the “The Source Terraces” project, which provides 58 residential units.
Al Reem Island witnessed the registration of 4 projects to provide 900 units, the most recent of which was the “Vista 3” project, with a total of 622 units, the “Elie Saab” residential tower project, which includes 174 units, in addition to the “Reem Eight” project, which provides 54 new residential units, and the “Oasis Residences” project, which provides 50 units.
The list of registered projects during this period from 2024 also included two projects in Khalifa City to provide a total of 231 new housing units through the Plaza 2 project, which provides 120 units, and the Villa 11 project, which provides 111 new units, while it also included the third phase of the development of Ramhan Island, which includes 191 units, and the Marsa Al Jubail project to develop 36 units, in addition to the Al Jurf Gardens project in the Al Jurf area between the Emirates of Abu Dhabi and Dubai, which includes the construction of 174 units, in addition to the sixth phase of the East Gate project in the Bani Yas area to provide 91 new real estate units.
