Expo City Dubai has awarded four major contracts to three UAE-based companies and an international company, which represents significant progress in the construction of the “Mangrove Residences” project, which includes three residential buildings with views of Al Wasl Square and Jubilee Park. The residential project is proceeding as planned to welcome its residents in the coming months. The first of the year 2026.
Expo City contracted with U.S.F for demolition work and removing the former wings from the plot of land designated for construction, Proscape for infrastructure and site preparation work, and A.F.G Group for consolidation works. The groundwork was completed with the removal of 150,000 cubic meters of soil to make way for the foundations, concrete ground slab, and basement parking. Expo City Dubai appointed the engineering and construction company Shapoorji Pallonji International to undertake the main construction work.
Engineer Ahmed Al Khatib, CEO of Development and Delivery at Expo City Dubai, said: “We are making excellent progress in the Mangrove Residences project, and work is progressing as planned to welcome residents in the first quarter of 2026, where homeowners can enjoy being part of a vibrant community focused on Sustainability, and is located at the heart of Dubai’s future growth, adjacent to the city’s offices, attractions and various events.”
The “Mangrove Residences” project is located in the heart of Expo City, a 5-minute walk from the main distinctive destinations in the city, and it is one of 3 groups of apartments that make up “Expo Central”. Its three residential towers include 450 one- to three-bedroom apartments, four-bedroom penthouses, and three-bedroom townhouses with views of Al Wasl Square, and all units have been sold.
The implementation of a second development project, “Sky Residences” in Expo Central, is currently continuing, as the first two towers have achieved great demand from buyers, and a third tower is scheduled to be launched soon, as well as the launch of the third “Sedr Residences” project within Expo Central at the end of 2024.
