Sharjah Media City (Shams), through the interactive podcast “Hadith Shams”, highlighted the most prominent media and economic challenges, based on its pioneering role in promoting the media sector in various fields and introducing the achievements of the Emirate of Sharjah in various sectors.
The blog hosted a number of officials, experts and prominent figures, with the aim of strengthening partnership with all parties, and reviewed the pioneering initiatives, projects and successes achieved by the Emirate of Sharjah in various fields. The blog also hosted Saeed Ghanem Al Suwaidi, Chairman of the Representative Committee of the Real Estate Sector Working Group at the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The dialogue session addressed several real estate, economic and investment topics, and the most prominent opportunities and challenges facing the real estate sector, especially in light of the urban renaissance witnessed by the emirate, in addition to seeking to improve the performance of economic activity, by launching effective work programs that contribute to enhancing real estate activity in the emirate, and what is the role of the sectoral working groups affiliated with the Chamber, which play a major role in enhancing communication with the relevant government agencies, and the events organized by the Real Estate Sector Working Group.
During the dialogue session, Al Suwaidi stressed the importance of communication between the private and government sectors to enhance the work of these groups affiliated with the Sharjah Chamber. The UAE has an open and flexible policy on local and foreign investment.
He said that the emirate has laws and legislation that guarantee the rights of the investor, and the Sharjah government has a guarantee law for every project offered for sale. This law has been in place since the eighties, whereby the developer pays 30% of the project value as a guarantee and deposit with the Real Estate Registration Department, which guarantees the rights of the buyer, and there is no fear of investing or buying in Sharjah government projects.
He added that the projects in Sharjah are qualitative projects, and the income return on these projects is high, compared to other emirates and other markets, which encourages entry and investment in the real estate sector. There is diversity in the real estate product in the emirate, as well as in its geographical locations, such as housing for students and families. Sharjah is distinguished by family housing projects, and this is the direction of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah. The emirate is distinguished by being primarily family-oriented, which gives Sharjah an advantage. Sharjah is a city of science and culture, and has the university city, which is one of the most prominent universities in the region and the world. It has contributed to strengthening the real estate projects near it, which serve and benefit from the university city, by providing student housing projects, which are sustainable and long-term projects.
Al Suwaidi pointed out that he started working in the real estate sector with his father, may God have mercy on him, at the age of 15, and he used to attend meetings and gatherings in the company, which gave him experience in dealing with all departments in the company, and today his leadership of the work came as a result of the accumulation of experiences in the field of business management and real estate, as real estate investment is one of the most important types of investments, and it is integrated and interconnected with all sectors, and for young people to succeed in this sector, they must have fixed assets that support their work, and I call on young people to educate themselves, through many workshops and courses organized by government departments in the emirate, and investment in the real estate sector is within everyone’s reach, and it can be developed, and the return is good for investors and young people, but the most important thing is to remove fear from our souls so that we can continue to invest in this important and vital sector.
It is worth noting that the “Hadith Shams” podcast is one of the most important initiatives of Shams, to enhance communication in the media field, and is presented by the media professional Abdullah Murad Al Mazmi from Sharjah Media City.
