Work Begins on the World’s Second Tallest Tower in Dubai

Azizi Developments revealed that the height of the second tallest tower in the world, which is being built on a plot of land on Sheikh Zayed Road in Dubai. After obtaining the required approvals, the real estate developer in the emirate revealed that the height of the tower will be 725 meters, ranking second in the world after Burj Khalifa, the tallest in the world at 828 meters.

Azizi Developments recently launched construction work on its project, which is located in the freehold areas of the emirate opposite the Dubai World Trade Centre. Indeed, with the company announcing the height of its new tower at 725 metres, it has surpassed the current record of the second tallest tower in the world, which is the Merdeka 118 Tower in Malaysia, which is 679 metres high. Thus, Dubai’s skyscrapers are competing with this new announcement.

Within Dubai, the Azizi Tower, which is currently under construction, will surpass the second and third tallest towers in the emirate, which are located in Dubai Marina, namely Marina 101 and Princess Tower, which are 425 metres and 413 metres tall respectively.

Azizi Tower will also be taller than the Franck Muller Eternitas Tower, currently under construction in Dubai Marina and scheduled for completion in 2027, which is set to become the tallest residential clock-topped tower in the world, reaching a height of 450 metres. Azizi is investing around Dh6 billion in its new tower, which is expected to be delivered four years later in 2028.

Mirwais Azizi, Chairman of Azizi Developments, stressed the immense potential and opportunities that Dubai offers, saying: “Dubai is my home now. He pointed out the construction of the second tallest tower in the world, which was designed and developed by Azizi Developments in a distinguished location in the heart of Sheikh Zayed Road in Dubai.

He stressed that it will constitute an exceptional aesthetic dimension along Sheikh Zayed Road, and a real addition that enhances the beauty of Dubai’s magnificent skyline and its unique architectural status.

He explained that Azizi Tower is distinguished by more than just its height and location. Thanks to its innovative design and use of the latest technological trends, the building will include ultra-luxury residences, a unique multi-level shopping mall, the highest observation deck in the world, in addition to a range of facilities and dining venues at unprecedented heights. The seven-star tower hotel, which will feature the highest lobby in the world, will embody the spirit of Dubai by highlighting major global cultures within its interior décor.
